Itchin’ to Get Out

If you are anything like me, you just can’t wait to get out of your cubicle this summer and have some real adventure. I am adding to my already huge list of summer activities that I will experience. Here are some of them:

  • Camping: This is a summer must (at least once). I am going to find a nice, beautiful lake that I can sleep right next to. Nothing is better than camping and then swimming. But one problem I run into when I go camping at the lake is all the bugs. I admit; I detest bugs. That is why I am brining my mosquito net hat. No joke; I really am. I am not going to let anything ruin this summer!
  • Hiking: A few day trips of hiking is all it takes to feel summer-fulfilled, if you will.
  • River Rafting: What is more fun than a little risky adventure?

How ’bout dem Alps?

There are few hills like the Swiss Alps.

My buddy decided that he needed to do some traveling and decided that he’d like to go to Europe to see the famous Alps firsthand. When he first told me this I thought he was kidding. Yeah, he hikes and camps a bit, but I’d never pegged him as a world traveler. I guess he’s using an experienced adventure tour guide that really knows his stuff. He said that these guides are really recommended for stuff like hiking the Swiss Alps, backpacking Europe, etc.

So as I type this, I’m in my cubicle, and he’s out about traipsing around the Matterhorn, or whatever. I think I need better vacation benefits.
